Onimusha: Way of the Sword Demo Lets Players Duel Sasaki Ganryu
Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword demo is live on Epic Games Store, letting players test Oni Armament attacks and battle Sasaki Ganryu.
Capcom has released a playable Onimusha: Way of the Sword demo on Epic Games Store, giving players a combat-focused preview with Oni Armament attacks, swordplay systems, and a boss fight against Sasaki Ganryu.

Capcom’s upcoming Onimusha: Way of the Sword now has a playable demo on the Epic Games Store, giving PC players an early look at the series’ new sword-fighting direction. The demo was listed on Epic on June 3, 2026, and is available for Windows.
The demo focuses on combat, letting players try Oni Armament attacks and the game’s swordplay systems before facing the boss Sasaki Ganryu. Epic’s article also points to the historical inspiration behind the character, referencing Sasaki Kojiro, the famed Japanese swordsman associated with his duel against Miyamoto Musashi.
Capcom’s PlayStation Blog post gives more context for the demo, saying it covers around 30 minutes from the early story and includes techniques such as Parry, Deflect, Issen, Oni Armament use, and soul absorption. The stage is set at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, with Musashi facing his rival Sasaki Ganryu. Demo progress will not carry over to the full game, but players with demo save data can receive the Charm: Kubi Akari in the final release.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is currently scheduled to launch in late September 2026, with Capcom listing the title for modern platforms including PC. Epic’s demo page does not confirm save transfer beyond the bonus charm, and it notes that the demo differs in some ways from the full game.
