Head to `Medical Kit` on the counter. Press `E` to pick up item. Go to any nearby save point `Computer`. Save game and load another slot. The `Medical Kit` in the game world, should appear based on the saved progress. If it was already picked it will not show up, but if it's not picked it should show up.
